In a large family it seems as if there is always something to celebrate, last week we had our annual big celebrating day. Second daughter reached double digits the same day as her dad became a lot older, this was also the anniversary of the day we got engaged. Seventeen years; six kids, three houses, seven cars, two cats, one dog, lots of bills, a little bit of sadness and a huge mortgage. It's been busy but I am so glad we decided to share our life so many years ago, happy times and sad times have been much better shared with the birthday boy above.
Lots of happy things to cheer and much cake was definitely had by all,
demolished in about thirty seconds by half a dozen hungry children!
It is now March and every day my Mollie Makes calendar reminds me to
"Think Happy, Be Happy".
Whatever you are facing today, and however you are feeling, remember
the bible promises that:
God is our refuge and strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
an ever-present help in trouble.
Psalm 46:1
That's for you Dad, we love you!
That's alot of things to celebrate on one day, no wonder lots of cake was needed.
ReplyDeleteWhat a busy day, looks like you all had a good time though. Julie xxx
ReplyDeleteSounds as if you had a great time. I come from a small family but I love it when we can all get together to celebrate a birthday or anniversary. Jx
ReplyDeleteSo true that verse, I needed to hear it, thank you! I know a surprising number of kids born on one of their parents' birthdays, including mine. It's interesting I think. Hope you had a good time celebrating - looks like it :) xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful and thank you for the verse xxx
